This is for those who have a message burning inside them.
It’s for those who cannot be silenced.
You have something to say, and you know a podcast would give you a platform.
You know it would help you become more of an authority in your niche or industry.
You’re longing to share your message with the world – at scale.
But you don’t know exactly how to make it succeed.
If this is you, keep reading for how you can create and launch a world-class podcast in less than 45 days,
Avoid the pitfalls and mistakes that kill most podcasts.
Nobody wants a podcast that struggles along with almost no listeners.
It’s demotivating.
And it’s a chicken-and-egg situation.
To attract new viewers, you often need bigger-name guests.
To get bigger-name guests, they want to see that you’ve already hosted bigger-name guests.
But how do you get the first one?
Getting started can be confusing
It can be hard to get traction.
And a podcast that fails to get any traction is likely to die…no matter how good your intentions.
The good news is that your podcasting journey doesn’t need to be a struggle.
You just need to follow a proven strategy.
And the results will follow.
I was nothing special, but my podcast took off because it followed these proven principles.
Anyone can do the same thing.
Including you.
MY PODCASTING STORY
Background
“I have a message or story to share with the world, but…
I don’t know where to start
I’m afraid nobody will listen
I’m not a good speaker
I don’t have time to focus on it right now
I can’t compete with all of the other great podcasters out there
I’m scared to put myself out there
I feel like I lack credibility. I feel like an imposter..
These were the thoughts that ran through my head for years. There was a message that I wanted to share with the world, but that limiting voice in my head was winning the battle just like it had been for as far back as I can remember.
I had been called quiet, introverted, monotone, low-energy, you name it. My greatest fear for most of my life was public speaking. I wouldn’t sleep for weeks leading up to any time I had to make a presentation to my classmates. From middle school to high school to college, it always terrified me.
Then I became a group fitness coach, where over time I got more comfortable speaking to a small group.
But even with that, the thought of recording myself and putting it out there for the world to see/hear in any way still scared the crap out of me.
How It Started
Fast forward to the last few years, and I’m an avid listener of podcasts, but thought that podcasting was really just for celebrities, public speakers, and the ultra-successful.
However, I was fortunate to befriend a couple of podcasters in 2020 and get invited onto their shows as a guest. The first show I went on wasn’t great. I was nervous, it was super short, and I got off really not feeling good about it.
But then I got invited onto another one. I figured I’d give this guesting thing one more shot.
And I’m so glad I did. Over an hour after the episode started, we were still flowing and having a great time. Right after that recording ended, I decided right then and there that I was going to turn Not Most People (the concept that had been in my head for years) into a podcast.
That was November of 2020. I said I was going to have my podcast launched by the end of January no problem. Little did I know how many unforeseen details there were to take care of before launching.
So I didn’t end up launching until March.
How It’s Going
Fast forward 3-4 months and the podcast:
Had a perfect 5.0 rating on iTunes with over 50 ratings and reviews
Ranked in the top 3% worldwide according to listennotes.com
Had garnered over well 3,000 downloads
Granted me access to a slew of 7, 8, and 9 figure entrepreneurs, best-selling authors, keynote speakers, major influencers, and other extraordinary people. (Examples below)
Opened up new business opportunities
Shifted my identity and sense of self in a major way
Imagine what this could do for your business
This was all with no ad spend, no previous experience speaking or podcasting, and no large following to start with.
And shortly thereafter, I had people coming to me left and right asking me how I did it and how they can start one themselves.
I tell you all of this to show that I can do it, ANYONE can do it – if they take the right steps.
Many of which I learned through trial and error so that hopefully you don’t have to.
So having said all that, I decided to put together everything I had learned (from both my success and my mistakes) into one all-inclusive program to help aspiring podcasters just like you launch a world-class podcast without all of the trial-and-error learning curves that I went through
